Practices K- 2 TTH 5:30-7 at James Sales
3-5th MW 6-7:30 at James Sales
6-8th TTHF 6 pm - 8pm at Ford 

What to expect Performances TBD at various SPYA Flag football games, basketball games and FPHS & WHS sports events.
Participation in a team fundraiser

Practices begin the week of Nov 3

Teams will practice 1-2 nights/week after 5:00 pm (*Please note that this is based off of coaches' availability and subject to change due to staff shortage in FPSD)

Practice locations are at various FP schools.  If there is no school, there is no practice.  If there is no custodial coverage, there is no practice.

Games Games start Dec 1 & will be on Fridays (PM) and/or Saturdays (AM)

Jamboree or Tournament is TBD

2025-26 Basketball Scholarship Request - Winter 2025

  • SPYA is excited to offer a small percentage of scholarships per season for Franklin Pierce School District students.   
  • Recipients are expected to participate at least 75% of the season (practices & games), parents and athletes. 
  • It is on a first come first serve basis and as needed. 
  • If you are in need of full or partial assistance, please fill out this form and we will get a response to you as soon as possible.  We will be in touch with you by September 30th on your eligibility.  
  • Scholarship registration closes Sept 23, 2025
  • You will receive a coupon code to use in your registration if your request is accepted and can then complete your enrollment.  

Preseason Basketball Clinics - Fall II 2025

Dates- Sept. 13 & 27, Oct. 4, 11, & 18, Nov. 1 & 8

 Location- Washington HS Gym

Ages & Times- K-5th  9:00-10:30 am
      6th - 12th  10:30-12:00 pm 

Equipment- Bring water, basketball, & athletic shoes (all registered participants get a FREE ball)

Cost-  FREE for registered 253 Ballers & registered SPYA winter Basketball players

Clinic Focus-  FUNDAMENTALS: Dribbling & shooting 

All Clinics are with Coach Mark, Jamel, Mike, Malachi, & Jayman.

Age 4-12 yrs. old GIRLS & BOYS (athlete must be 12 or under on Dec. 31, 2025).

We have an opportunity for a middle school division for ages 13 and 14. Please register with DJ Saddler in person.

Sibling Discount:  $10.00

Equipment- Athletes will need to purchase their own wrestling shoes and headgear. 

Practices Beginners Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6 to 7

Advanced Monday and Fridays from 6 to 8 and Wednesday from 7 to 8:30

Girls ONLY Tuesday and Thursday from 7:10 to 8:15  

Tournaments Every weekend starting Oct 25

Teams will practice 2 nights a week M-F after 5:00 pm (dependent on volunteer coaches schedule).
